PRASLOVAN documentary film

Praslovan is an emotional and inspiring biographical drama that follows the life and career of one of the most significant singer-songwriters of the former Yugoslavia, Zoran Predin. The film traces his journey from his youth in Maribor, where his musical career began, to his rise to fame with the band Lačni Franz and his solo career, which cemented his status as an icon of the music scene. Through a retrospective of his greatest hits, the film showcases how his songs reflected societal changes and personal upheavals.

The film is guided by prominent figures from the Yugoslav music, literary, film, and sports scenes, including Đorđe Balašević, Branko Đurić, Miljenko Jergović, Gabi Novak, Jure Franko, Zoran Čutura, Magnifico, Petar Janjatović, Ante Tomić, and Aleksandar Stanković.

V letu 2024 in 2025 je film:

• premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival
• received the Vesna Award for best film chosen by the audience
• opened the Documentary Film Festival
• premiered throughout Slovenia and the Balkans
• received the audience award at Underhill Fest
