Praslovan Under the Stars in Velenje

On Monday, 17 August 2026, at 9:00 PM, the feature-length documentary *Praslovan*, directed by Slobodan Maksimović, will be screened on the plaza in front of the Velenje House of Culture. The screening is part of the *Stars Under the Stars* summer cinema programme, and admission is free.

The film offers an intimate portrait of Zoran Predin, tracing his journey from his youth in working-class Maribor and his success with the band Lačni Franz to his solo music career. Through his songs, memories and personal turning points, the film also reflects the social and cultural changes of the era in which he created.

The film features numerous prominent figures from the music and cultural scene of the former Yugoslavia, including Oto Rimele, Karpo Godina, Boris Bele, Boris Cavazza, Matija Dedić and Branko Đurić.
